Season 3
- 2020 -
- 2020 -
Keegan Gilligan beats out the field with a 10-3 Regular Season record. His Soul Snatchers team defeated Brad Carpenter's "Suck Me" in the league championship, with Jon Kuchem's Brad's Nut Tugger squad coming in third place.
Gilligan started the season winning nine out of his first ten matchups. He would also post the second highest scoring differential for a winning season with a +215 margin.
2020 was the debut season for two members - Danny Widrig and Ronnie Suggs. Increasing the league from eight to ten, the whole league was able to meet in Kansas City for both the draft (held at Blake Straatmann's apartment in August 2020) and the punishment weekend (held at Jon and Parker's Windows Lofts apartment downtown in February, 2021).
Chain Snatchers (6-7)
After winning it all in 2019, Liam Flood (Chain Snatchers) was the league loser of 2020. With an average record of 6-7, Liam fell victim to poor Losers Bracket play. Flood's losing season was not a result of poor effort. In fact, one could argue he tried too hard. Flood set a league record for most moves during a season with 87, beating the previous record - which was also set by him in 2019 - of 81.
What: The 6, 12, 18, 24 Challenge
Where: Kansas City
When: February 21, 2021
Who: Liam Flood
The 6, 12, 18, 24 Challenge was designed to test four different aspects: Physical endurance, spice tolerance, drunkenness, and stomach capacity. With the quantifiable increments set in stone at 6, 12, 18, and 24, the loser is faced with the decision of how to allocate units of the following elements: 12oz beers, donuts, hot wings, and miles (running). These four elements can be completed in any of the four increments, so long as all four increments were used and paired with an element.
Example: If the loser decides to run 12 miles, they then must decide if they want to eat 6, 18, or 24 wings. If the loser decides to eat 18 wings, they then must decide to drink 6 or 24 beers. If the loser elects to drink 24 beers, they then are left with eating 6 donuts.
The loser is given a 24-hour clock to finish all four elements.
Liam would go on to finish this challenge with just enough time to spare. He elected the following combination:
6 miles
12 donuts
18 wings
24 beers
